Teen Movie: The Breadwinner In-Person

How far will Parvana go to help support and protect her family? Based on the book of the same title, The Breadwinner tells the story of Parvana and her family's resistance to the Taliban in Afghanistan. Come watch the animated movie and then stick around to chat about it. Want to read the book first? We'll have copies available for check out at the library in mid-October. Popcorn will be provided. Best suited for ages 11 and older. This program is sponsored by the East Hartford Commission on Culture and Fine Arts. Registration requested.
