Indigenous Peoples Day: Thunderbird American Indian Dancers In-Person
The Thunderbird American Indian Dancers return to East Hartford with an engaging program of music, dance and storytelling, a unique educational and entertainment experience. The Thunderbirds perform authentic dances of the Iroquois, Southwest and Great Plains Native American peoples. Each dance is introduced with an explanation of the dance and its cultural context and is accompanied by live music. In the event of inclement weather, this program will be moved indoors to the Wickham Memorial Library, 656 Burnside Avenue. Register for a reminder, and to be notified in the event of venue change due to weather. This program is presented with funding support from the Commission on Culture and Fine Arts.
