Center Cemetery Tour: CANCELLED In-Person
UPDATE: Because of the impending rainy forecast for April 29th, this event is cancelled. If you are interested in attending the event on the May 6 rain date, please register on the calender there.
Did you know that Center Cemetery in East Hartford is one of the oldest in Connecticut? Or that the last colonial governor of Connecticut is buried there? Join us to learn more on a tour through the cemetery on Saturday, April 29 at 11:00 AM. Park at the library and meet on the library front lawn. Noted expert Ruth Shapleigh Brown will be on hand after the tour to answer questions. Please note that there is a fair amount of walking with steep inclines and uneven pavement. Participants are encouraged to wear sensible footwear. Rain date is Saturday, May 6. Registered participants will be notified if the tour is rescheduled to the rain date.
