Intersections Concert Series: The Lost Tribe In-Person

Join us for a concert at the East Hartford Community Cultural Center auditorium featuring four great groups:

The Lost Tribe is a drum-centered Afro-funk fusion ensemble, led by multi-percussionist, Jocelyn Pleasant. Their sound winds through many genres that are rooted in West African rhythms and sensibilities, with performances that are full of energy and groove. Please visit their website at https://losttribect.com/ to check out the band members, videos and more.

Stephen Haynes (cornet), Kelly Bray (trumpet), Dan O'Brien (woodwinds), Caleb Duval (bass) and Jocelyn Pleasant (percussion) will play a set of improvisations influenced by an array of jazz-related traditions.

There will be two short sets by East Hartford High School World Drumming students under the direction of Greg Hoyt, and the East Hartford Middle School World Drumming Ensemble under the direction of Dan O'Brien

Each concert in the Intersections Concert Series will feature performances by professional musicians as well as student ensembles.  Upcoming concerts will be held on Thursday, April 27 (Japan Week), and Thursday, May 25.

Funding support for the Intersections Concert Series is provided by the East Hartford Commission on Culture and Fine Arts and the East Hartford Alumni Association and Education Foundation. For all ages. Register for a reminder.
