Percussion Workshop with Jocelyn Pleasant and Friends In-Person

Celebrate the various traditions and rhythms of African Diasporic drumming in this percussion workshop led by multi-instrumentalist and ethnomusicologist Jocelyn Pleasant. Pleasant will be joined by East Hartford-based percussionist Alvin Carter and others.  This participatory performance will lead into the March 9th Intersections Concert featuring Pleasant's band, The Lost Tribe.  Sponsored by the East Hartford Commission on Culture and Fine Arts in celebration of Black History Month.
